Website Installation

Your Web Site modification:

Installing the LiveWebAssist service into your website is a very easy process. You only need to copy the code below into your website along with the banner code and you can then interact with your site guests. This can be added to one page, multiple pages or all pages on your site. For specific installation instructions please follow the steps below.

Add your chat code to your Web Site:

For any page you wish to have the chat displayed you can add the code anywhere in the <header> element. This will load all components needed such as the chat window, and visitor information.

If you wish to have this added to all pages and you have currently have any includes to the pages like a top menu then you could also add this code to the include file so it is automatically loaded to all pages.

Please keep in mind that LiveWebAssist also provides you with a thorough traffic and site analysis of where visitors went, how they found your site, as well as specific keywords used if they found you from a search engine. For this reason you should install the code onto every page to ensure you receive a full site analysis.

If not adding the code to all pages then you also run the risk of losing the chat session with the visitor. If the visitor starts the chat session from the homepage but then navigates to a different page that does not have the code then the session would be lost.

		var firstScript = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
		firstScript.parentNode.insertBefore(script, firstScript);
